About Natalie Bowden

  • Biography
While I had always been creative, spending much of my childhood drawing and crafting, my true passion for painting sparked during early parenthood. I soon developed my own style – not by design but by simply painting with the flow, wherever the feeling took me. I love to express my personality and those of my subjects through the use of vibrant colours and movement. My favourite medium is watercolour – for its fluidity, luminescence, and unpredictable nature. Painting in watercolour is always an experiment! It is definitely not your typical 'washed' watercolour style - people are often surprised at the vividness of the colour and the texture. I like to paint in a loose, carefree style that lends itself to movement and a sense of fun in the finished piece. I love to feel immersed in a painting and it's a great way to lose yourself and let your inner creativity run wild.
