Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this bio. My name is Mike and I enjoy painting... surely, that's sufficient?
Probably not. How about 'people'? People interest me. Faces, personalities, portraits. Trying to capture some Mona Lisa like essence through brush work or camera; finding the individual on the canvas. Or simply trying to capture a likeness in a number of manners, whether realistic or more abstract.
I consider myself primarily a figurative artist, but both want and need to push myself into different areas, to loosen the brush and see where that takes me. I hope you like some of the finished outcomes along that journey.
