About Marlene Snee

  • Biography

My main inspiration for my work comes from my love of nature, my local countryside and some of the wonderful places I have visited around the world.

Most of my work is painted in watercolour, as I am fascinated by the wonderful luminosity of colour and the slight unpredictability of this medium, which makes it very exciting.

I also enjoy painting in pastels as well as mixed media to portray my subject matter

Some of my more recent work is in a much looser and more experimental style and marks a natural progression in my artistic development, which allows me to use my imagination and create art of a more personal nature.
