Tumbling underneath waves amidst effervescent aquatones, Juul's compositions are fresh and original expressions of the colors and patterns of water in motion. The artist uses her imagination to distill the kinetic essence of something never at rest.
Irregular shapes of green and blue cover the canvas, reminiscent of the brilliant marine hues that convey water in 19th century Japanese woodblock prints. Close inspection reveals rough, textured surfaces from the thick application of media on linen, including oil, acrylic and oil pastel, reiterating the earthly and organic nature of her subject.
Juul's artistic life has always been inspired by water. From the shores of her Long Island birthplace and Chicago’s Lake Michigan to the spectacular tropics of Tampa Bay, water has held an unwavering hold on her spirit — fluidity, intuition and reflective volatility.
"The natural world is my inspiration. I believe art represents a journey through the infinite, a realm of abstract possibilities found in the elegance of nature, time and space. My goal is to capture a moment — full of movement, life, color, scent and sound, never experienced the same way twice — communicated through the painter's brush."
Juul began her training in fine art studies in 1988 at Chicago’s Columbia College. Since that time, her work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions and is included in collections around the country. She lives and works in Saint Petersburg, FL, dividing her time between her painting studio and Trinity Gallery, where she has been providing art consultation since 2011.

In 2010, the Iraq Museum International requested 'Rough Wake' for the International Poster Exhibition at their museum in Baghdad. Rough Wake would be on display there for nearly two years, adding her unique vision to an area of the world renowned for its ancient culture. I was the only American Artist Selected to represent the U.S..

As a multifaceted artist; with a focus on painting, illustration, interior and textile design for more than two decades, l have cultivated an extensive list of devoted supporters. My work displays prominently in a wide variety of settings—from celebrity homes and corporate lobbies to commercial and hospitality sites internationally.
A native of New York, I have exhibited internationally from San Diego to Boston and London to Beijing. In 2008-2011 I was selected as the American Artist Representative for an exhibition in Baghdad, Iraq. My career has skyrocketed from there.
In 2019, I participated in two Yoko Ono curated exhibitions as well as other shows around the world. In 2020- New York, Miami (Art Basel) and Zurich, Switzerland.
Over the years, I have shown at Art Basel Miami, Las Vegas Art & Frame, Highpoint Market, Swiss Art Expo and many other notable events. My work has appeared in the Danish Magazine X-Ray, Aesthetica Magazine, Florida Design, Boston Yacht Club Magazine, Studio Visit Magazine, Influence Magazine, as well as many other publications, tv shows and commercials. I am represented by reputable galleries while my prints and textiles are sold by vendors internationally.
I currently live and work in beautiful Tampa Bay, Florida where inspiration is at every turn.
