About Makiko Kimura

  • Biography
My passion for painting is deeply rooted in my life experiences. I was born in Japan and later immigrated to Australia at the age of 35. My journey was not an easy one, and it was filled with challenges that forced me to abandon my dreams for a while. However, my perseverance and determination led me to rediscover my passion for art when I turned 40. My paintings are a reflection of her personal struggles and triumphs. My work primarily features women figures that convey power, desire, and a wide range of emotions. My art embodies my struggles as a woman and an artist, and it resonates with anyone who has ever faced similar obstacles. My vision is to touch people's hearts through my art and my story. I believe that everything I create is a reflection of myself and my journey of self-discovery. I strive to nourish my art with love and positive attention so that it can grow and inspire others. I am passionate about sharing my work with the world. As an artist, I am motivated by the desire to make a living from my art and to share my work with a wider audience. Selling my artwork on platforms such as Artfinder can provide me with a way to showcase my work to a global audience, connect with potential buyers and collectors. It can also provide validation for my work.
