About Lorette C. Luzajic

  • Biography
Lorette C. Luzajic is an award winning visual artist driven by eclectic curiosity, and the joy of juxtaposition. She works in collage, acrylic, photography, poetry, and assorted media to create beauty from chaos. She is inspired by cities, by poetry and stories, by art history, pop culture, and a keen appreciation for life's little absurdities. Rauschenberg, Rothko, Basquiat, Warhol: she wears her influences on her sleeve, but creates original work that is colourful, humorous, and beautiful. Her works show often in Toronto, and have also been exhibited in Edinburgh, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Chicago, Tunisia, and Mexico. She recently appeared on the TV show Stella's Studio for Camoes TV, was shown on the Marilyn Denis show, was featured on the Savvy Artist podcast, and was featured in an ad campaign for Madrid based luxury jewelry designer Carrera Y Carrera. Her work has been featured on two textbook covers, in literary publications, and in a book on collage. She has been a guest juror for the Boynes Australia International Art Awards. She has collectors in thirty countries so far.
