    New Studio

Settling into my new studio. I was thinking back the other day how lucky I have been. I have had so many beautiful sudios.... My little brick building in the garden in Mauritius, which had views of the pool, the Indian Ocean, and birds of paradise. My beautiful log cabin in the garden in Cheshire with doors that opened onto a gorgeous veranda next to the apple tree. I also worked as a Reiki practitioner here, I can still feel the energy I created there. In Warrington, I had a great large light open room tucked away at the back of the house with doors opening onto the garden. And now... I have opted for space in our large living area rather than a room. With floor to ceiling sliding doors, I have the most stunning blue views which inspire me every day.

    August 17 Commission

    August 17 Commission

This commission was for three pieces based on the my Iridescent Pearl 1 piece and two zoomed in images of my Iridescent Pearl 2 artwork. The first 'Calm Waters' is spacious with some texture and iridescence. The second 'Choppy Waters' is mainly textured with some iridescence and bright blues popping through. The third 'Lunar Waters' is a circular piece with one half almost wave like and full of texture and colourful iridescence. There three were a joy to work on.

At the end of 2016 I relocated to Gibraltar. My studio is beautiful, so much light and warm sunshine, I feel so lucky. I am taking things slowly finding my feet in my new life but rest assured I will be creating new work soon. In the meantime, if you want to ask me anything, if you have a commission for me I am available, just message me. Here's to a great 2017!

    Work In Situe

    Work In Situe

These two pieces of art were commissioned via an Art Consultancy on behalf of their client. Working closely with the consultant I created these two pieces to enhance the room and blend in with the colour scheme and theme. The process is quite detailed and specific but the overall effect is stunning! Doing this type of work really pushes me as an artist. I absolutely love it!

    Shambhala Art Intensive Retreat

I have spent time in the beautiful Dechen Choling Shambhala Retreat Centre on a Dharma Art Course in the gorgeous surroundings of Limoges in France. Of all the work we did there, getting out of my comfort zone, playing with calligraphy and frustrating installations... the main thing I bring back home with me is being comfortable with myself, happy with myself and accepting being an artist.... Watching this video again makes me smile. I met the most wonderful warm and friendly people and highly recommend anyone wanting to be brave to go for it, try something new!!!

Art & Music - Graffiti Piano

Art & Music - Graffiti Piano

Whilst I don't really label myself into a 'type' of artist, I don't really consider myself to be a street artist (too cold.... maybe in warmer climate), or a graffiti artist (I like to dribble my paint onto a flat canvas with my favourite brushes) BUT I have been known to whip out my airbrush and fiddle with stencils and colours. When I was asked to participate in a project called 'The Peoples piano project' where I was offered a WHOLE piano to play with creatively I couldn't say no! Not being a typical graffiti artist thought, along with my airbrush I also brought lots of spikes, weird skully doorknobs, studs and a lot of glue! added a weekend of open studio where I bribed visiting children with sweets if they daubed their names and random flowers and blobs, they loved it ... voila! it really began to take shape! When completed I hit a few snags like... how were burly security men supposed to move it? it was spikey! Also... health and safety said it couldn't be displayed in the local mall.... as someone could hurt themselves on those spikes... OOPS! Finally it found a temporary home and was enjoyed by passing trade for the arts festival. Now it needs a new home. It looks amazing, if only I could fit it in my studio, I could maybe learn to play it instead of pretending to paint on those days I get a little stuck! Maybe you could give it a new home? Help From The Cat?

    Help From The Cat?

So this week I've had so many paintings on the go they've been drying everywhere! Maybe this is the reason he couldn't help himself and wanted to step on them, maybe it is because he is VERY lazy and will stumble over anything rather than walk around it OR actually I think he wanted to get his signature on them! Either way, I had some black paws to clean as he didn't do a very good job!
