About LC Kerr

  • Biography

Kerr is an artist who lives and paints in her large conservatory studio in Oxfordshire, UK. This year she is studying for a post-graduation diploma in the techniques and materials of the masters, starting with Turner and from Impressionism onwards. These studies are available through Artfinder and are more  exciting than prints because they are in oils!  Other than that, landscape is a favourite theme.

Shadows, light and reflections are important in the contemporary landscapes from Oxfordshire and Sweden. Thunderstorms are a menacing purple, vibrating against vivid yellow-lime rapeseed fields in April and in May and golden wheat scintillates under blue skies. Skies and land are rendered in oils in impasto, thick brushwork, fingerpainting and a palette knife.

Kerr has a degree in Fine Arts, and has participated in numerous exhibitions.
