  • Biography
Passion to art comes from my childhood. I remember it was my number one hobby to do. When I was 6 years old, my grandmother took me to my first art class at the kids club. We were learning how to draw simple shapes and building a composition. She was definitely the only person in my life that saw my artistic abilities from a young age. She always had a special box at her house, where she kept drawing materials, just for me. Her house was very quiet and peaceful and I did not have to do any chores. So, I felt very artistic and productive. I drew, painted and quilted. I grew up spending a whole summer at the summer house. We had a lot of land to grow vegetables and fruit. So, seeing beauty in nature was always in me. I took walks into a little forest nearby and witnessed the most beautiful sunsets behind a field of corn of sunflowers. I laid in wild flowers and watched the sky move, listened to the little water stream that was always going right near where we planted cabbage. My motherland, Ukraine, definitely showed me its beauty. When I was 20, I moved to the United States. I felt, it became my second home right away. People accepted me for who I am and always appreciated my artistic abilities. I mastered the nail industry first. And then, at the age of 33, I found my life passion - art. Art has a huge meaning to me. And I really mean it. Three years ago, when I had some stressful desk job it was my best stress reliever. When I was painting, it felt like I wasn’t physically present at that moment. My body would dissolve into a fluffy white cloud and it felt very relaxed afterwards. I could not get enough of it. To cut down clean time and maintenance I was using acrylics and small canvas panels. Over time, I mastered oils and bigger size canvases. To understand art in full, I submerged myself deeply into the educational process. Since that time I have been taking quite a few live and online masterclasses. There was not a day that has gone by where I would not talk, watch or read about art. Painting feels natural to me, it is not a struggle or stress - it just flows from within me. I have developed my skills into multiple art streams like: landscape, floral, botanical art, abstract. Although, my current passion and biggest preference goes into seascapes. I have been concentrating my attention on painting water scenes. Why, you ask? The answer might sound too simple, but, - it just feels right to me. My compositions are all about the light. Showing the light is my favorite part of composition. And what could be a better light expression than light on the water?! That reflection, glow, shine or burning sunset with massive drama in the sky - this is my biggest passion and pride. Light is what I shine from within me onto my canvas. And the way people catch it will be my biggest reward. Currently, I only use oils and high quality linen canvases. I prefer high professional art products over any deals or sales. Long lasting art pieces are my goal. Also, I varnish my painting to provide protection and show my collectors the real value in my artwork. Oils are my preferred medium because of the blending aspect. Sky and water painting requires some blending techniques at times and it is definitely easy to achieve with oil. A lot of my reference pictures come from my favorite beach places we travel during the summer season. I get inspired by any water scene either it's a lake, river or ocean. I think Artfinder is a great, popular platform to meet new collectors. I have heard a lot of great reviews from art friends and I like that you have a massive amount of followers. It is a great way to grow as an artist. Also, I love the fact that you select high quality art to provide the best service to your collectors, it is a great example of a good customer service. Also, I would like to mention a couple recent achievements: 3 of my original artworks are being displayed at Whitespace art & event gallery in NJ, my "Australian sunset" has been accepted to West Hartford Art League exhibition for this fall. Looking forward to more events, as I participate in multiple open calls.

    Event: My solo show

    Dates: 1 Dec 2023 - 31 Jan 2024

    Venue: Aedra Fine Arts, online

I recently had an honor to be a part of an online exhibit, it lasted for 2 months and my artwork was awarded "best of the show", so the leading was mine. After that exhibit ended, the owner of the gallery had offered me to take part in an online solo exhibit. I was thrilled to have such an opportunity, because I have never had solo exhibit either online nor live. This exhibit will last till the end of January.
