About Ivel Muller

  • Biography
I have always new from the age of six years old, that I was going to become an artist. To be able to express myself in any medium, is a necessity and my driving force. I liked experimentation and through my life I had the opportunity to learn different techniques and to incorporated them into my work. I have been involved in the art world all of my life .I managed my own Art Gallery in my city in Argentina and exhibited widely through South America before my work took me to New York where I lived for ten years. My first intention was to pursue my creative work, but while in New York, I also had the opportunity to manage an Art Gallery in the Upper West Side. Apart from working with oils and acrylics and my sculptures in slate, I also developed an interest in printmaking and produced original editions of my work that were published by the Art Dealers representing the works of the late Salvador Dali. After a ten year spell in New York , I relocated to London where I continued with my work as an artist. I also taught and worked in Schools as an artist in residence and developed my Watercolour for Schools project. The approach to my work is intuitive. I aim to explore the creative spirit of my art, seeking to reflect in my work, the timeless and fresh quality of a child's imagination. I like to capture the atmosphere of a place and transform settings, whether familiar or exotic, into gala events, complete with an innocent and joyous sense of celebration. My vibrant and coloured South American heritage is directly reflected in my Art. My work has been widely exhibited and is in many private and public collections in USA, South America and Europe.
