About Gwen Duda

  • Biography
The beauty and power of Nature and the Source of it is what inspires and drives my work. I express it in both my paintings and monotype prints which are done primarily in acrylics but also in water colours, oils, oil pastels, oil coloured pencil, charcoal and graphite. I love to incorporate the texture of nature in my paintings and so mediums are used like sand and light molding paste. The resulting work is delightfully tactile, emotionally evocative, colour rich and dynamic in design and subject. My studio is eco-friendly as to minimize impact on the natural environment. Over the decades I have worked as a fine artist, art director for television and as an illustrator and designer.
