About Glynnis Abraham

  • Biography
I am an expressive painter. I use life models as my primary source to create images that flow. I use mixed mediums to express feelings and emotions and I work in an Abstract pattern, I paint on canvas, a mixture of papers including brown wrapping paper and wallpaper I also work on glass and acrylic sheet which gives a new depth to the subjects I work on. My Mark making is sometimes totally subconscious which is always a good begining to a piece of work, my studio is where I draw in situ, nature, flora and fauna and life drawings.  I work in a series, this means I can explore the colour palette in depth taking each series from between 4-8 different images, each one is a learning process and I can then develop and learn from each image.
