About Edward Cartwright

As a sculptor based in the West Midlands, UK, I am heavily influenced by the industrial history of the area. Most of my work is in steel or involves industrial materials in some way at some stage. I explore those mediums, their relationship with each other, and ourselves. In some instances they describe natural forms, Human and animal. In other more abstract work i examine the materials themselves and how they rely on each other in form and function. Usually I would sell in exhibitions however in view of current global events I am growing my online presence, I have had a website for many years but have not made much of my work available for purchase online before aside from some small pieces on Etsy. I am now exploring new avenues to sell work and connect with customers.
