About Darya Sumarava-Kopach

  • Biography
My life in art has been for a very long time and I can’t imagine any other life. I sell my paintings on various online  platforms, and participate in international projects and exhibitions, symposiums and biennales. In 2022, I took part in the Oil Painting Biennale in Dafen, China. After the exhibition, the Dafen Art Museum acquired my painting for its collection.
“The works by artist Darya Sumara-Kopach focus on the contemporary relevance of modern figurative painting, in relation to everyday events and pressing problems.
Darya uses a polychrome range in her paintings to depict everyday life, while at the same time emitting a feeling of intense emotionality and dramatism through her distinguished painterly stroke. Even though the predominant medium of expression is oil painting, she also uses mixed media. This innovative approach opens up a range of new possibilities and ideas, allowing her to comment on both individual experience and the collective.“
