About Christine Hamm

I only ship to the USA. I'm a writer and poet and teacher. I use art to push the words from my head and fill it with colors and shapes. Over the past 15 years, I have had a long progression from representational paintings to abstract work, and now I work on straddling the two. I'm now working on making abstract illustrations and landscapes, which are often moody and dark, but sometimes light-filled and childish. I work through a series of layers in each piece, often adding text or cut-outs, and scraping, dripping and over-painting the results. Nearly every piece is partially collaged, and everything is in some form of collage or acrylic paint. Now I've started creating at such a rate that I'm running out of places to store the canvases.
