    Hassan Sharif (1 January 1951 – 18 September 2016) was an Emirati artist who lived and worked in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His work is represented in major public collections, such as the Sharjah Art Foundation in UAE, Mathaf, the Arab Museum of Modern Art in Qatar and Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.

    Doing what I love

    Doing what I love

    Taking landscape photos at Portmerion in North Wales. Photography is such a useful tool, instead of sketching, I use it to document scenes and objects, to gather information that I can then use in my artworks. I also overpaint or overprint their surfaces, cut them up, rearrange them, decollage and produce collages to work with and generate ideas.
