About Bea Roberts

  • Biography

I work in abstract style. inspired by natural forms –  plants, flowers, organic themes. I am also influenced by the artwork of Ernst Haeckel, the 19th century born German zoologist, naturalist, and artist. I am also interested in decay, dereliction, dilapidation, and neglect, and this theme often crosses over with the natural forms and themes in my paintings. My work is expressive and intuitive and I never know where I am going with a painting – I just let the artwork lead me where it will. My paintings hang in many private collections around the world, including celebrities, and have been used for the sets of several TV productions and films.

    * I had my first solo art exhibition at the tender age of fourteen
