About Antoine Renault

  • Biography

Antoine Renault (French, b. 1963) is a self-taught French artist. He has been painting over 25 years and is best known for his realistic water paintings. His themes are the essence of an invincible summer at the ocean: the feeling of happiness, the warmth of the enticing water and sand, the freedom of the open sea. His technic constantly plays with the borders of realism: the image looks photorealistic from distance and almost abstract when closer to the canvas.

His work has been featured extensively in magazines and can be found in private collections all around the globe.
