About Anna Corbishley

I paint coastal landscapes inspired by Cornwall and South West England, mostly in a semi-abstract style. These landscapes aim to invoke a sense of place - of exhilarating skies and wide open spaces, vast oceans and rolling waves, horizons that can never be reached and boundless possibilities. I always aim for a sense of calm and peace within my paintings as an antidote to the busy hustle and bustle of modern life. I hope my paintings inspire people to slow down once in a while and take a breath. I mostly paint with oils, but some of my earlier pieces are painted with acrylic.
