    Bluebell Woods

There is a wood that sits behind our house, walking these woods has given me hours of pleasure, and time to reflect. The beauty and peaceful feeling it gives, I wanted to reflect in this painting.

    Black Beauty

I was lucky enough to enjoy painting this piece outside, the natural light really "lends a hand" when completing fine detail work.

This was lots of fun working on a close range painting, the result makes you smile, as you feel up close with that big brown eye looking right at you.

    My Way

    My Way

I like the idea that most people are single minded. This got me to thinking about nature, and I thought what about fish ? This was enough for me to pick up my brushes and put that idea down on canvas. It works really well in a light room, the blue of the ocean, and the bright orange fish working along side each other.

Great fun working on the reflection of the adult bird. I think it brings real movement to the piece.
