About Adriana-Mirabela Gajos

  • Biography
My creative path had begun with music, and for the first 7 years of my studies I was singing and playing the piano. I loved music, but I felt the need for a different way of self-expression and so I entered the art lyceum. This was the beginning of learning of a new language – visual one. After lyceum I enrolled in the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts, where I studied Graphics. There I discovered engraving, and I dedicated all years of my Bachelor studies and of my Master Studies to it. Now in my paintings I use all the knowledge I have gained in the field of graphics to create something special, something I can relate the most at the moment. Stylistically I am very interested in the combination of abstract and non-abstract motifs. Most of my recent artworks are stylized landscapes on the verge of painting and graphics. The way the artwork can be perceived as a whole, the impression that is made by the shapes, lines, color, texture - that's what I pay most of my attention to. I let my experiments with new techniques guide me, it helps to generate new ideas. Studies at the Academy and my Master studies have given me a lot, and I believe that it is very important to go through this and get a certain base, professional skills, and "vision". But it is also important, of course, to look for your own style, because artists are in the first place those who are looking for their own visual language. At the moment the result of my search is the development of the abstract qualities of my works. I go more for the feeling, than for the depiction of any specific objects. I want to sell on Artfinder because I consider it to be one of the leading platforms for the realization of paintings, which has a huge and stunning collection of artists and their work. I am very hardworking and dedicated and I believe that our cooperation can be effective and productive both for me and for Artfinder.
