About Alice Tortoroglio

  • Biography
I was born in Asti, a small village in Piedmont, Italy. I believe that art is able to see the beauty in every little things. I love to create images with different techniques, although the techniques that I prefer remain watercolors and oil despite being completely different. I love the uncontrollability of the water and the strength of oil colors ; I always thought that the selection of techniques represents our way of being. I studied three years of painting and illustration and that marked me deeply . One day, maybe, I will be able to combine the concrete with the abstract, the imagination with reality…Art is an ongoing research and more you go down deep, more you discover deep emotions and feelings that sometimes had been unconsciously hidden : you just have to let them take shape with the means that we own and that we are closer. Each of us show your own garden at the world, but the art is the window that opens out directly into the soul. I spent a few months in France where I decided to devote myself to drawing.
