About Alessia Camoirano Bruges

  • Biography
Alessia Camoirano Bruges is an Italian-Colombian artist based in London.  She has lived in many places, each one inspiring her deeply. Her work explores identity and human experiences with the aid of color theory, color psychology and fluid dynamycs to provoke emotional responses. She graduated from the University of the Arts London where she studied film and TV, and learned how colours impact on our emotions and moods.  She sees each artwork as a cathartic experience in which she is able to connect to her inner child and let go of anything that holds her back by "simply" being present. Her paintings are one of a kind; each one with its personal story and sees her work as an extension of herself in which she pours down her emotions. Therefore it is important that the collector/buyer truly connects with the artwork before buying.  Each painting is then followed by lyrics written by the artist. She encourages the audience to approach each painting with mindfulness allowing any emotional response that might arise with non judgment.
