About Skevi Brodie

  • Biography

Born in London, award winning local artist Skevi works primarily with resin, producing unique and colourful contemporary creations.

She first started painting using acrylics whilst managing a trading system for a major investment bank in New York in 2000 as a means of relaxation.

Skevi started using resin in 2016 after she saw the beautiful gloss finish it produced.  She loves the challenges the medium brings.

After 13 years in Singapore and seeing many blank walls, Skevi felt inspired to produce colourful statement pieces of art. She finds inspiration from nature, her general love of colour and her love of the ocean.

Skevi creates pieces that captivate their audience.  Each piece consisting of lots of interesting detail and depth created by layering the resin and mixing in different types of mediums. Skevi has also dedicated time to produce beautiful contemporary functional art in the form of serving platters, coasters, tealight candle holders, tables and stools.

Her works have raised money for a variety of charities such as Kick Sarcoma, Kampuchea Balopp and the ATLAS Foundation.  Skevi has also donated proceeds of sales to charities such as NHS Charities Together, The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust and local clubs Tring Park RFUC, Tring Park CC and Berkhamsted CC.

Skevi has successfully exhibited several times in Singapore and the UK.  Her artwork decorates homes and offices in the USA, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Australia and the UK.

Skevi is an official winner of the Theo Paphitis’ SBS Award, has been featured in Tatler and The World of Interiors.  She works with interior designers and art curators to create bespoke pieces of art for their clients.
