Biography
Nikolaus
Weiler lives and works as a freelance sculptor in Berlin since
1993.
The focus of his work is the construction of space and
bodies from and to all sides. The aim is a universal and objective sculpture
in the field of tension between dynamics, movement and change.
The
spatial sculptures consist of different materials (metal, wood or
glass), which complement and expand each other in their properties.
The
all-dimensional sculptures are a special kind.
They can be
presented on different sides and thus change their spatial and
physical expression in a vivid manner.
They can be weightless,
static, dynamic or spacious.
Other works has been since 2016 sculptures in spatial dynamic curves.
In 2015 he uses acrylic glass in wood for sculptures wearing light.
From 2003 to 2008, he created kinetic sculptures that can be moved and altered in three dimensions – 2007 patented.
In 1994 begins his work and passion for sculpture with new forming techniques for solid wood blocks -2 patents.
