About Anatolii Korobkin

  • Biography
It is a play of shadows and light that inspired me and encourages to take up my brushes and paint.
My paintings are a conjunction of natural impressions and european painting traditions, absorbed russian realistic art school.
My work in the pleinair gives me the opportunity to enjoy the richness of semitones, which allows me to display the diversity of life.
During my travels in Italy I had the good fortune to see great examples of art and it improved my creative skills.
The impressions I got in Venice, Florence and Rome will stay with me forever, because "The one who once visited Rome will never be unhappy again" as Goethe said.
The journey to Italy was a fundamental experience of classisism which he found in the
architecture of Andrea Palladio and in the smiling nature of Italy.
The polyphonic history of Rome passed
through my consciousness, and they crystallized the essence of the city into the cycle of landscapes and sketches.
I work in the tradition of realistic plein air painting, traditional european school, graduated from the Academy of Arts in Moscow (historical and portrait painting).
Natural impressions motivate me to create paintings, because i work from nature- landscapes, portraits, still-lifes.
