Artwork description:

I was thinking about doing a series of butterflies and started with the letter Z. Hence, Zerene Fritillary. I put this butterfly on a zinnia. And while I was coloring it in, a Monarch butterfly swooped down onto the flowers outside the window. Nice coincidence!

So, I drew the image onto linoleum, cut it out, printed it with oil-based ink onto Strathmore paper...and colored it in.
