Original artwork description:
A fantastic display of Zante Deschias at a local garden center inspired me to paint this picture. Not only the colors, but the meandering shapes of the plants, packed tightly together presented a design by nature. Flat color accentuated the contours of the long leaves, and achieved a contemporary modern impression, to what would have been a traditional subject matter.
