Yvonne, 24 x 29 cm, Monopoly tickets and acrylic on wooden palette, 2024

Yvonne is the first test in a series of works made on magnificent cherry wood pallets, handcrafted in France by the brother of one of my friends. Having received the raw wood, I asked my artist friend Guillaume, the king of wooden sculpture, for advice and here is the palette tinted with wax, dark cherry style!

I really like raw wood, I really like lightly waxed wood (only two coats here) and I might have fun with all the possible shades.
