Creating an interesting surface texture in my work has always mattered to me. From back in high school when I was experimenting with painting over hot glue and tissue paper (thankfully that phase was short lived) to now, where I am still exploring all of the wonderful possibilities of oil + cold wax.
For me, texture makes the painting.
