Original artwork description:

This figurative sculpture has been created from one whole 10" vinyl music record (Deacon Blue - "Your Swaying Arms"), and mounted upon a 10 x 4 x 10 cm thick, clear acrylic block. The pink perspex circle has been cut to create a tall backdrop and an optical illusion through the clear perspex. The liquid-like figure has been created using various heat sources. Fine art practice contrasts with modern materials.

Each figurative, contemporary sculpture from the "REmuse" series is sculpted from one whole vinyl record, with nothing added and nothing removed from the original material - function becomes form.
