Original artwork description:

Small but very effective painting of the god of wine. I have chosen to paint the young Bacchus that is seen most often in the works of the great Caravaggio, Rubens of course mostly showed the god much older and larger.

Painted with detail yet at the same time keeping a simple impressionistic look to parts of the flesh, painted with very little blending and softening so I think it has some very interesting areas.
