This is the second piece in the series and I wanted to try a vertical layout to see how it would look.
Ever since I can remember I have been a fan of Liverpool Football Club. It was never a conscious choice, just was how it was growing up in Liverpool with a father and family who loved football and myself playing in teams with my brother from a young age. Some of my earliest memories are watching Liverpool on T.V winning in Europe and the Milk Cup, which shows my age! I was always struck by the passion and creativity of the supporters, making flags and signs to take to the match at home and abroad and singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” with such enthusiasm. These pieces are inspired by this passion and love shown by the supporters of my hometown football club Liverpool FC and in recognition of the world famous football anthem that never fails to raise emotions.
Just before the start and end of each game supporters will raise scarves and flags and join together to sing the club anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone." It's always a very moving experience and even after hearing it 1000's of times it still gives me goosebumps and stirs emotions. It is a great show of unity, support and passion and is our way of trying to lift our team and help them perform at their highest level. The supporters become the “Twelfth Man” adding an extra dimension to the team. These written pieces were created in 2010 when I was experimenting with writing styles and script ideas, which I have always enjoyed doing. All three of the pieces have the complete song lyrics written in the background with “You”ll Never Walk Alone” written over the top. These pieces were recently re-discovered rolled in a tube with some other large works on paper as I was re-arranging my studio. It seems like a perfect time to share them as Liverpool have just won the English Premier League title for the first time in 30 years, congratulations and Come On You Reds!
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
