Another of those amazing and amusing sights in Bangkok. This is the mobile food cart, really a kitchen on wheels. Each vendor does their own specialty, in this case mushroom soup. This painting is based on a series of photos I took of this vendor as she was preparing a soup for me… at JJ market, Bangkok.
But that’s really just the starting point for me to let loose the paint for this expressive result.
The close up pictures are to give a better sense of the paint, paper and the brush stroke. Then there’s the work in progress, and me in the garden with the painting for perspective.
