I was enchanted by a photograph of these two sprouting white turnips. Made by a photograph who uses the name “Bluoltreilmare”; this is a royalty-free image and I purchased the rights from . I was drawn to the pattern of negative spaces around the sprouting leaves and their deep magenta color streaked with a touch of chartreuse. A small painting (only 12x9 inches, or 30x23 cm), the shades of grey, pink, blue, set off the sprouts. My mark on on the front and this is signed and dated in verso. Coated in artist-grade varnish to protect against abrasion and dust, this work ships with a digitally-registered Certificate of Authenticity. It is framed in a 2.5-inch wide simple mahogany frame, the dark brown shade of which sets off the image beautifully.
