As the title suggests, this work sits in a liminal zone, being neither here nor there, drifting in a perpetual state of harmony. My work explores a relationship between chaos and control; oil meets water. My process is performative and therapeutic, where I sit at the centre of a dialogue between the materials and the painting surface. I am looking for harmony within a mad world, calmness within a storm of information. This painting just 'is' what it is, it is content with itself in its process of 'becoming'.
This work is on canvas but uses my same signature process of layering oil and varnish. The painting has a highly reflective surface.
