"Yesterday’s Surprise" is a captivating 24” x 36” abstract painting that bursts with energy and fluid motion. The sides are painted black with 3 coats of protective UV varnish. It is wired in the back, ready to hang.

My technique involves starting with multiple layers of paint using a variety of tools and brushes that create a wide range of shapes, forms and lines. Upon starting, I paint intuitively and quickly. Nearing the end, everything slows down and I begin the process of discernment, carefully analyzing changes in value and composition until I am happy with the final painting.
