A beautiful bouquet of springtime colour. Yellow and red stripes zing out against a blue sky background.
I painted this in the depths of winter in France. It made me feel the spring was not too far away.
Charcoal defining the edges of the petals and leaves. The paint is in layers, sometimes thin like watercolour and also textured and thicker.
This painting can be framed like a watercolour with glass and a mount or alternatively attached to a board and framed like an oil painting.
