This painting is based on a photograph I took of yellow roses in a glass vase that I’d placed on a glass-top coffee table in my living room. I loved how the light back-lit the roses and I wanted to try to capture the glow that radiated in the low winter’s day light. I felt comforted by this image and thus decided to paint it: my way of keeping the memory of beauty. It is painted on a Richeson oil-primed panel (MDF), 14x18, signed on the back (my insignia on the front), varnished in Gamvar satin to protect it for generations. The paints I use have a 500-year color-fast rating. It is professionally framed and ships with a Certificate of Authenticity.
