I paint and draw in an attempt to interpret a view, a feeling or a memory. When painting on location, the act of intense, silent observation provides greater opportunity to absorb the experience of time and place. These paintings are visual notes about colour, line and texture, recorded in oil using brushstrokes and palette knife.
