Original artwork description:

This is one of many Labradors that I've painted through the years. A breed that is particularly close to my heart as I've been a Labrador owner for many years. A certain amount of artistic license was used to paint this portrait, so that painting doesn't look too much like a photo.
An art critics review, following an exhibition in Toulouse,France" Julians' ability to bring realism to has work is astounding;More than photorealism, he paints what the human eye sees when viewing his subjects in real life. His use of light and shade,to create form,is second to none."
Please note,I choose to paint on heavyweight water colour paper,as it suits my style of painting. Also, once my paintings are framed behind glass they are protected from atmospheric grime for life, unlike oil paintings that can accumulate grime which dulls the colours over a period of time.
