Original artwork description:

Looking outward at physical places that evoke memories, as well as the present and possible futures. Looking outward may trigger a realization of what has proved important over time, what brings a sense of completeness, or rest, or meaning. But we also carry with us our chosen interiors: we create our own internal environments, our own interiors in our homes as well as our minds. We curate our personal surroundings as we change, adapt, and evolve during our lifetimes. Contrast is always there: outside and inside, natural and manmade. We are always searching for what grounds us and gives us connection—to each other, to the earth, to ourselves.

Looking in shows us who we are; looking out shows us where we have been and who we may become. A panorama brings a sense of freedom and release from our own interiors, fresh views bring a sense of possibility. Inside and out, views and vantage points can turn us inside out—in all the best ways.
