Original artwork description:

While working as an artist at the First Global Art Festival in Gujarat, India, I visited the Modhera Sun Temple. The stone building is entirely covered with carvings; particularly of figures of female earth spirits known as Yakshini who are said to be able to cause trees to burst into leaf with the touch of a foot. I have drawn this one as an interpretation of a typical carved figure seen at the Sun Temple. The paper is recycled packing paper.
