The seascape is changing every moment, the lighting is constantly making its own adjustments. I notice this when I write sketches in the open air. A special state is when the fog is hanging in the air. this state is very close to me, and I plan to make a series of such paintings.
In Italian painting, there is the concept of sfumatto - when all objects are shrouded in a haze. All objects merge with the surface of the water, and sounds are also muted. It seems that everything is frozen and only a gust of wind or a ray of sun can upset this balance. When I was painting this picture, it was important for me to achieve smooth color transitions that are most suitable for the fog state.
The painting is painted on canvas stretched on a stretcher. Signed on the front and back and ready for hanging on the wall. This painting is suitable for a modern interior in light and calm colors.
