I painted this on a warm day at Ludham in Norfolk.
It shows traditional timber yachts being prepared for rental at Hunters Yard, on Womack Staithe, Ludham.
These are real ‘Swallows and Amazon’ boats and I spent an enjoyable morning watching them set sail for exploration on the Norfolk Broads.
The boathouse and workshops are beyond the boats.
