Original artwork description:

INCORRECT NAVIGATION

A moment caught in my memory, of a sailing trip which lasted much longer than was intended, all was well in the end!

Acrylic painting on stretched canvas measuring 110 cm x 90 cm x 2 cm. Painted sides so all ready to hang on your wall. The painting is built up in layers of paint to achieve intensity of colour and mark making. Each unique piece is a one off work of art, I don't produce prints, you will own the only one.

My paintings are a search more than a journey, the journey began, it won't end.
I used to think each painting was a development from the one before and this made it better. Of course this isn't true. Each painting exists in its own individual space, it's a testament to the inner artist and moments in time. Often informing the next piece in either a small or large way.
It's about...................

THE UNEXPECTED - I'm an unpredictable painter, I work in a mess, I like to be out of control.
COLOUR - Fascinated by the theory of colour, the affect this can have on mood and the way the eye adjusts it.
FRAGMENTS – dilution of reality, minimalism.
PERSPECTIVE SHIFTS
PAINT – seductive and almost edible.

Lots more about me and my work, please just click the links above. Thanks for looking.
