Original artwork description:

The little wren was lovely to paint amongst the herbs and flowers. The Wren is easy to miss as it hops around bushes, roots and low branches searching for food but I hope I've managed to capture him on this canvas.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
