As I continue with my historical Route 66 sign series I am exploring another American cultural tradition…the diner. Diners a derivative of the “dining car” reflect the styling that manufacturers borrowed from railroad dining cars and have been a prominent part of American culture since the 1800’s.
The Classic American diners often share nostalgic, retro-style features such as an exterior layer of stainless steel, neon trim on the structure, a neon sign displaying their name and other small neon features unique to diner architecture.
This painting is framed in a black matte metal frame and is ready to hang and also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
