I have painted several portraits of Virginia Woolf, but this one is my personal favorite. It is my interpertation of Virginia as a 33 year old. At the time of her first novel. "The Voyage Out". She is one of the foremost writers of the 20th century, and one of the most complex. Virginia is a study in the combination of mental illness and creative genius. Wikipedia has an excellent description of her life and works.
Woolf 2 is a one of a kind, original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on 5 mil Dura-Lar artist mylar film. I have stayed with my usual pallet of warm “earthy” colors.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

. This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It is mounted on tempered masonite with a two inch wide painted border. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
