An original painting of woodlands.

This is a large, magical painting of a woodland scene as the light of the sun penetrates the foliage.The sun in the centre forms the outline of a huge heart also.

I wanted to create a healing piece that captures the energy of trees in nature. Using a mix of techniques, I have created a bold statement of meditative art.

The edges of the deep canvas are painted black to echo the denseness of the woods beyond.

This canvas requires two plates or nails to hang it due to a support beam in the canvas's centre. It is varnished in a glossy varnish which really brings out all the textures...which have been lost a little once again in the photographing of the art.
